Set up volume HUD after installing NotNotch
After install, volume HUD is opt-in through Settings so existing users are not surprised. Volume overlays replace the stock macOS HUD when enabled.

First launch
Finish onboarding, then open Settings and enable volume HUD if you want it.
Permissions
macOS may ask for calendar, notifications, or files depending on volume HUD. Decline any you do not need.
