Set up Spotlight after installing NotNotch
After install, Spotlight is opt-in through Settings so existing users are not surprised. NotNotch is a glanceable companion, not a Spotlight replacement.

First launch
Finish onboarding, then open Settings and enable Spotlight if you want it.
Permissions
macOS may ask for calendar, notifications, or files depending on Spotlight. Decline any you do not need.
