Troubleshooting Spotify in NotNotch
If Spotify is missing, check Settings, display targeting, and macOS permissions first. Spotify can drive Now Playing when that controller is available.

Confirm Spotify is enabled and that the notch is not hidden on that display.
It appears on the wrong screen
Use the display-follow setting so Spotify tracks the screen you are looking at.
