The menu bar is always there; Sparkle updates in NotNotch is glanceable and then gone. Appcast.xml and DMG files are served from the same NotNotch origin as the site.

When the notch is better
Use Sparkle updates in the notch when you want a short live view without another icon in the menu bar.
When the menu bar stays
NotNotch does not hide Control Center or system extras. Sparkle updates complements them.
