macOS Sonoma on macOS 14 Sonoma
NotNotch’s deployment target is macOS 14, so macOS Sonoma is built to run on Sonoma and later. MacOS 14 remains the deployment target for the shipping utility layer.

Why Sonoma is the floor
The SwiftUI notch host and several system APIs assume macOS 14. macOS Sonoma follows that floor.
Later systems
The same macOS Sonoma path is intended to keep working through macOS 27 without bumping the minimum.
