Set up Shelf after installing NotNotch
After install, Shelf is opt-in through Settings so existing users are not surprised. You can park files on the notch and share them when you are ready.

First launch
Finish onboarding, then open Settings and enable Shelf if you want it.
Permissions
macOS may ask for calendar, notifications, or files depending on Shelf. Decline any you do not need.
