Now Playing for Mac notch developers
If you are extending NotNotch, Now Playing is a host surface or a documented constraint. Playback and artwork sit in the closed notch so you do not hunt for a player window.

Host rules
Packages declare placements in manifest.json. Now Playing may be openTab, liveActivity, or a first-party module.
Do not disable library validation
Unsigned third-party binaries stay manifest-only. That is intentional.
