Notifications is a small SwiftUI surface. Selected banners can take the front of the notch stack, then hand back to music. Disable it if you want the lightest possible notch.

Live polling and media artwork cost more than a static chip. Notifications should sleep when unused.
How to lighten it
Turn off unused live activities in Settings so Notifications is not in the stack all day.
