Set up notch-less displays after installing NotNotch
After install, notch-less displays is opt-in through Settings so existing users are not surprised. NotNotch can present a floating top-screen surface on compatible displays that have no hardware notch.

First launch
Finish onboarding, then open Settings and enable notch-less displays if you want it.
Permissions
macOS may ask for calendar, notifications, or files depending on notch-less displays. Decline any you do not need.
