Set up Mac mini after installing NotNotch
After install, Mac mini is opt-in through Settings so existing users are not surprised. The companion follows the connected display, not a laptop lid.

First launch
Finish onboarding, then open Settings and enable Mac mini if you want it.
Permissions
macOS may ask for calendar, notifications, or files depending on Mac mini. Decline any you do not need.
