How to use hover-to-open in the Mac notch
To use hover-to-open in NotNotch, enable the related setting and look at the top edge of the display. Moving the pointer into the chin can open the notch after a configurable delay.

Open NotNotch Settings and find the control for hover-to-open. The companion only shows what you enable.
