Focus modes is sized for a closed-notch chip or a short open panel, not a document window. The notch stays a utility; it does not replace Focus filters.

Closed shows the live state. Open is for the next action. Focus modes should make sense in both.
Motion
Animations stay short. Reduced-motion users should still understand Focus modes without the demo loop.
