Set up Desktop widgets after installing NotNotch
After install, Desktop widgets is opt-in through Settings so existing users are not surprised. WidgetKit extras can sit in Notification Center while the notch stays the live companion.

First launch
Finish onboarding, then open Settings and enable Desktop widgets if you want it.
Permissions
macOS may ask for calendar, notifications, or files depending on Desktop widgets. Decline any you do not need.
