Troubleshooting compact mode in NotNotch
If compact mode is missing, check Settings, display targeting, and macOS permissions first. The open notch can shrink to a player-first panel without a tab bar.

It does not appear
Confirm compact mode is enabled and that the notch is not hidden on that display.
It appears on the wrong screen
Use the display-follow setting so compact mode tracks the screen you are looking at.
