Battery impact of compact mode
compact mode is a small SwiftUI surface. The open notch can shrink to a player-first panel without a tab bar. Disable it if you want the lightest possible notch.

Live polling and media artwork cost more than a static chip. compact mode should sleep when unused.
How to lighten it
Turn off unused live activities in Settings so compact mode is not in the stack all day.
