Troubleshooting brightness HUD in NotNotch
If brightness HUD is missing, check Settings, display targeting, and macOS permissions first. Brightness changes can appear as a notch companion instead of the default overlay.

It does not appear
Confirm brightness HUD is enabled and that the notch is not hidden on that display.
It appears on the wrong screen
Use the display-follow setting so brightness HUD tracks the screen you are looking at.
