Does brightness HUD work offline?
Shipping brightness HUD behavior is a local Mac utility. Brightness changes can appear as a notch companion instead of the default overlay. Network is not required for the core notch host.

Sparkle updates and optional music backends may need a network. brightness HUD itself is described as on-device where the feature allows.
AI is separate
NotNotch AI is in development and is not required to use brightness HUD.
