Set up battery after installing NotNotch
After install, battery is opt-in through Settings so existing users are not surprised. Battery can appear as a short HUD rather than a permanent live activity.

First launch
Finish onboarding, then open Settings and enable battery if you want it.
Permissions
macOS may ask for calendar, notifications, or files depending on battery. Decline any you do not need.
